“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths” Proverbs 3:5-6. There is never a time not to trust God. We need to trust Him in good times, as well as in bad times because we need God all the times. Don’t ever take your trust out from God no matter the circumstance. Maybe you have tried many times to make things right and they seem not to be working out, what you need to do is to change your focus because God still has a plan. Let us take a systematic look at Nehemiah 4:2 “And he spake before his brethren and the army of Samaria, and said, What do these feeble Jews? Will they sacrifice? Will they make an end in a day? Will they revive the stones out of the heaps of the rubbish which are burnt?” For many years, the children of Israel tried to build a future that seemed impossible. Structures were in shambles, the gates of protection were inoperative and the people were so vulnerable. People around them saw every disadvantage and did not see any good thing coming out of the situation. They mocked them to their faces. Instead God spoke to them not to be sorrowful. How do you respond when circumstances and situations try to take advantage of you? Do you run to God and still trust Him or you start to find human solutions that are not really solutions? In Nehemiah 8:10, the servant of the Lord told them, “The joy of the Lord is your strength”. God is delighted in bringing you to Himself and He is giving each one of us the power to build anew with strength which only God can give. Today you and I can stand in any situation, rejoicing in the eternal truth of the Word of God that has been proclaimed over us. It is true that we are living in difficult times, but our God is greater than all the struggles that life can bring. Take a hold on the Word of God, His promises and Trust Him in All things. You may have a setback right now or an issue, but do not allow a temporary circumstance become a permanent destination. Draw near to God today and He will draw near to you. (James 4:8). Declare your trust in Him today. He cares!
